MYC Safety Boat
This half day course provides the skills required when acting as a safety boat or coach boat for a fleet of dinghies, windsurfers or canoes, or for racing or training activities. It includes rescue techniques and elements of race management and mark laying. It is strongly recommended that a member of the rescue crew should hold a first aid certificate (or should have experience of first aid).
This course is free for members of MYC who already hold their PB2 qualification. Theory session on Friday August 2nd 7:30pm. Practical session Saturday 3rd August either 9:30am or 1:30pm. Book via your membership login and clicking on the event.
This course is an excellent follow on course to Power Boat Level 2, you will improve your boat handling skills and become more confident in a club racing situation.
This course is NOT the official RYA Safety Boat course, it is a course developed by MYC to assist members in Race Duties.
