MYC Navigation Training 2024/25 Complete!!
Early in March, 10 Navigation students (including me) completed a 15-week programme of lessons
introducing the basics of Navigation. Sue Anderson and Paul Norman did an AMAZING job of guiding
them through a whole catalogue of subjects and inspired them to learn more and use these skills
onboard yachts and powered vessels this summer!
So, a huge THANK YOU to them both for their time and expertise.
Our last challenge was to navigate our way through some pizzas (made by Paul) and a whole host of
delicious food provided by the whole class. A challenge that everyone passed with flying colours,
much like they all did through the lessons!
It's been strange, over the past few weeks, to NOT spend time with all the Navigation Crew on a
Tuesday evening. The whole group of young and older, bonded and supported each other over the
Winter months, sharing experiences and stories as they got to grips with the new skills. At least we
have our certificates to look at and remember a good fun, off season activity!!
