Margate Sup and Surf Affiliation

The MYC Committee is very pleased to announce that Margate Sup and Surf, owned by member Lawrence Head, will be officially affiliated with MYC. We are looking forward to welcoming more people in to the club, and seeing a greater number of people enjoying our Margate waters.

Margate Sup and Surf is a mobile Stand up Paddleboarding school accredited by the British Stand Up Paddle Association. They offer lessons in multiple locations across the Margate and Westgate coastline. Being mobile gives them the advantage of being able to offer the best location for our clients needs and the flexibility to move location to suit the prevailing weather conditions and tides. They only run lessons when the weather is suitable and safe. About Lawrence: He has been teaching water sports for over 20 years. Growing up on an activity centre in the uk he has gone from guiding canoe and kayak river descents in the Ardeche France to coaching Surfing, Windsurfing and Kitesurfing over a 9 year period in Fuerteventura on the Canary Islands. Water sports are in our DNA with 3 generations of our family getting out on the water together when we get the chance. Now we are bringing all this experience and love of paddleboarding together to offer fun and informative Sup lessons to Margate and surrounding areas.
